FA Cup 4th round Saturday/Sunday
|
A few potentially juicy banana skins today. Starting with...
Liverpool vs Wolves - the two managers know each other well, but Liverpool are in a major rut and Wolves, 18th in the Championship, have absolutely nothing to lose. Liverpool, meanwhile, do.
Lincoln City vs Brighton - Coming into this on the back of an incredible 3rd round win over Ipswich, the non-league pace setters host the Championship leaders. Hmm.
Burnley vs Bristol City - Pity Burnley, they could do without this.
Chelsea vs Brentford - A chance to have a look at Scott Hogan, if he plays. Brentford are 15th in the Championship.
Crystal Palace vs Man City - Will BFS want to win this? A respectable odd goal defeat could be the best outcome for Palace.
Blackburn vs Blackpool - Not often that two Blacks play against each other.
Middlesbrough vs Accrington - A horrible accumulation of banana skins for Senor Karanka to negotiate.
Oxford Utd vs Newcastle - If you think Karanka got's a game on today, spare a thought for compatriot Rafa. West Ham loanee Toni Martinez to make an impression for Oxford?
Rochdale vs Huddersfield - Ee by gum.
Tottenham vs Wycombe - Should be routine, shouldn't it?
Southampton vs Arsenal - Can the Saints progress towards two cup finals this year?

Difficult to raise much enthusiasm for what is looking more and more like an advertising agents' dream competition. Money 2 Football 0

There are some Premier league teams Id be happy to see have a few more games especially if it results in a big match just after they play us and they rest players. Liverpool going out at home to Wolves would be good fun. Unfortunately Spurs and Chelsea have their usual home tie against lower league teams

I can see yet another tragedy unfold as the Mickey-Mousers all push to get out of Anfield through a locked gate at 60 minutes.
